We’re a neighborhood church in the Kenmore area of Akron, OH based on the conviction that faith makes a difference in our lives and the community. We are a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family. Our dream is that every person, everywhere be introduced to Jesus Christ and make a decision to follow Him.
King's Way Church opened its doors in 1916 as Lawndale Church. In 1920, we became a charter member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. We outgrew our small building and moved to its present location in 1974. Wanting to connect with our community, we changed our name to Rolling Acres Alliance Church, due to the promising growth the new Rolling Acres Mall would bring to that area. Then in 2008, the Rolling Acres Mall closed it's doors and we found ourselves in an area that did not bring much traffic. Despite this, in 2016 we celebrated 100 years of spreading Christ’s ministry to the community. To continue moving forward in our mission of changing our world by radically chasing Christ's mission, we changed our name to King's Way Alliance Church in 2017. In late October 2023, we decided to remove our membership from the Christian & Missionary Alliance and are currently in the process of becoming our own independent church. We believe that no matter what our name is Christ is still working in the Kenmore area. We pray that God blesses our community and its members with many more years to come.
